Lucy Binetti, Publicity Manager

Raised on adult contemporary and classic rock, music was always a sense of comfort for Lucy, but it wasn’t until high school when she realized she needed to find a way to immerse herself with it fully. A New Jersey native, Lucy attended her first concert at 16 for Ace Enders and a Million Different People and that night it clicked that she needed to do more than be just another fan in the crowd. Within months, she created her music blog, Lucy Out Loud, and jumped into the world of street teaming for companies including Fearless Records, Photo Finish Records, Excess dB Entertainment, and Working Group Artist Management. Through her years of street teaming, she learned the importance of promoting music and found her passion in helping artists expand their reach. This passion brought her full circle two years later when she applied and was accepted to Ace Enders' internship under his moniker I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business. It was this internship that opened her eyes to the world of Public Relations.

In 2015, Lucy received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus in Public Relations from Montclair State University. During her time at MSU, she pursued her interest on the inside world of the music industry, her true passion. She dabbled first as an A&R intern for Detail Artist Management and then as a publicity intern for Big Picture Media, where she worked events including the CMJ Music Festival and the Village Voice Choice Eats & Choice Streets events. Soon after, as a publicist at Granada Music PR, she continued to be inspired by those around her while continuing to gain experience in a field she had fallen in love with. She was given the chance to work closely with artists, talent managers and publicists who put their hearts and souls into their work, showing her that hard work and dedication really does pay off in the end.

The relationships and opportunities earned through these experiences re-opened her passion in writing as well. In addition to being Editor-In-Chief of Lucy Out Loud, Lucy is also the Managing Editor of Halfbeat Magazine, a contributor to HuffPost and Substream Magazine, with bylines in Galore Magazine, Alternative Press, and Paste Magazine. When she isn't working, Lucy enjoys collecting movie soundtracks on vinyl, singing along to Disney music, and watching Home Alone, Die Hard, or Dirty Dancing. She is looking forward to the next steps in her career with Catalyst, as she continues to work alongside strong, driven, badass women with the same passion for music as her.
